The geological formations of Venezuelas Tepuis tend to be found as isolated entities rather than in mountain range fashion, which makes them the host of a unique array of endemic plant and animal species. Until a few years ago there have been speculations about living dinosaurs on the table top mountains. This inspired author Conan Doyle (''Sherlock Holmes'') to write his book ''The Lost World''.

The Pont du Gard is an aqueduct in the South of France constructed by the Roman Empire in the 1st century. Built on three levels, the Pont is 49 meters high and 275 meters long. Its construction is attributed to Augustus son-in-law Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. It was designed to carry the water to the Roman city of Nemausus (Nimes).

Mosia-oa-Tunya - the smoke that thunders - call the native inhabitants the Victoria Falls. The dispersed waterfog can already be seen from the distance above the plans of the Zambesi River. The southern sun creates colourful and spectacular rainbows.
