Chenonceau Castle is obligatory part of any Loire tour. It was used by Kings and Queens. It even survived the French Revolution as a military hospital. During World War II the separator line between the the German occupied part and the free
France went amid this castle.

One of the nicest stories about Chenonceau Palace entwine about Catherine de Medicis marriage her. As an Italian woman she was afraid to be not accepted by the French Nobles. So her first appearance had
to be devastatingly. And really she succeeded to attract everybodies attention. She was the first women wearing highheels, which gave her small figure
importance, charisma and charm.
