Roses Island is a small island in the Wörlitz Garden Realm. It can be reached by a small ferryboat. While the rest of the park was open for visitors from the beginning Roses Island served as hideaway for Princess Luise of Brandenburg-Schwedt. She here silently enjoyed the flowerage of 6000 rose trees.

This soccer field was designed for the Soccer World
Championship 2006 in Germany. The field was planted
with patterns of poppy seed forming a soccer ball. In the background the Kyffhäuser Monument.

Hundisburg Castle was first mentioned in 1140. In the Middle Ages it was the frontier post of the archbishop of Magdeburg.
In the 16th century it was reconstructed to a
Renaissance castle. Today it is the most important
Baroque Castle of Saxony-Anhalt.
