The ruins of the old Rudelsburg are located on the eastbank of the River Saale, 85m above the river. The medieval castle was built by the bishop of Naumburg to secure the trade routes through the Saale valley.

Schloss Wörlitz is a main building of the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm also known as the English Grounds of Wörlitz. It was created in the 18th century by Prince-elector Leopold III. In 2000 the park became a UNESCO World Heritage.
