The Ruins Hill (''Ruinenberg'') was built after a the concept of Knobelsdorff in 1748. Its purpose was to
cover a water reservoir. From here one has a beautiful view over Sanssouci park.

Hardeg Castle was built in the 12th century. In 1324 the Muthaus (Palas) was
constructed. The ''Muthaus'' of Hardeg Castle is the oldest secular building in Lower Saxony.
